SBTi approves OneCo's climate targets
OneCo has set climate targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with the Paris Agreement. The Group's targets are now approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
- We are super proud to have had our climate targets approved by SBTi. It is an important quality stamp and something that many of our customers care about. Now it's important to follow up on the targets where we need to make smart changes to reduce our emissions," says Birthe Nordseth, Executive Vice President Organisation and Sustainability at OneCo.
With SBTi's approval of our climate targets, we have recognised our historical impact. In doing so, we are also clarifying our future targets for reducing our emissions throughout the value chain.
OneCo's climate targets
Our climate targets commit us to reducing our direct and indirect emissions by 42 per cent by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050, with the transition from fossil fuel-powered service vehicles to electric vehicles being one of our most important measures to reduce our emissions.
We are also committed to ensuring that 73 per cent of our purchases of goods and services are made through suppliers who have also set science-based climate targets by 2028.
