OneCo replaces 33,000 electricity meters in Lerum and Partille

Due to new legal requirements starting in January 2025, the Lerum Energis(opens in a new tab) and Partille Energis(opens in a new tab) Electricity meters are being updated. Over the course of a year, OneCo has replaced approximately 85 % electricity meters.

The new electricity meters help to improve the quality of data collection for billing purposes. They also lead to fewer meter errors and more data from the electricity network. In this way, they support the quality and development work of network owners.

- "We can already see that the collection quality of all the electricity meters that have been replaced is very high, and a large proportion are working well," says Stefan Bertrandsson, project manager for the meter replacement project at Lerum Energi.

The electricity meter replacement is OneCo’s second project in collaboration with Lerum Energi. The work has been progressing smoothly, with good prospects for a successful outcome.

- I think our co-operation has been the key to success in this project. Lerum Energi and OneCo have been the driving force in problem solving and have not had to involve our joint contractor when we encountered challenges. In an efficient way, we have together been able to solve problems that have arisen, says Stefan Bertrandsson at Lerum Energi.

Before the end of the year, customers of Lerums Energi and Partille Energi will be able to make full use of the new meters.
