Knowledge and procedures strengthen safety at OneCo

Our motto is clear: either we work safely, or we don’t work at all. This applies to everything we do, from planning and risk assessment to the way work is carried out at our workplaces.

Over the past year, we have continued to strengthen our systematic work environment management. We have taken important steps to create even safer workplaces for our employees through training, checks and follow-ups. This work covers both the overall work environment and electrical safety.

In-depth knowledge of asbestos and radon

In the field of asbestos, OneCo has delivered targeted training courses for staff who may work in environments where asbestos is present. This is in response to new legal requirements that came into force in December 2025, under which exposure limits have been lowered and a wider range of people are affected. The training courses provide a better understanding of what asbestos is, where it may be found and how risk assessments should be carried out when working in environments where asbestos is present. It is important to emphasise that OneCo never handles or removes asbestos. The focus is on working safely in the vicinity of asbestos, using the correct protective equipment and making the right decisions.

With regard to radon, we carried out measurements during the heating season in the winter of 2025/2026. Using personal dosimeters and measurements at selected workplaces, we have been able to confirm that no levels exceed the applicable limit values. The results show that our working environments are safe from a radon perspective.

Safety rounds and safety walks in everyday life

Preventive health and safety work is an important part of OneCo’s day-to-day operations. In 2025, we carried out hundreds of safety inspections together with our health and safety representatives, using updated checklists developed by our in-house HSSEQ team. In addition, we have carried out safety walks, during which managers and leaders, together with employees, have reviewed working practices, equipment and safety out in the field.

Investing in electrical safety

OneCo is making major investments in electrical safety. Over the past year, we have conducted several internal training programmes, where our electrical safety coordinator has shared knowledge and experience of safe working methods, risk assessments and self-monitoring. Hundreds of employees - as well as external staff - have been upskilled on how we run our business.
